Most of your visitors open your site on a phone, and not always on a fast network. If the page is slow, they leave before they see what you offer, and Google itself counts the mobile experience among the signals it weighs in search.
This website speed test uses Google PageSpeed Insights: it opens your page on a mid-range phone over a slow 4G network, and times when something first appears, when the main content is complete, how long a tap waits for an answer, and whether things jump while loading. We then turn the numbers into plain findings ranked by importance, along with the eye's read of the page's design and content.

Is the website speed test really free?

What exactly does the test measure?
Four things: speed on a phone, ease of use, technical quality, and being found on Google. For speed it reports the Core Web Vitals Google relies on, such as when the main content is complete and how stable the page is.
Why is my score lower than my site feels?
Google tests on a mid-range phone and a slow 4G network, not on your phone and connection. That is deliberate: it shows the weakest visitor's experience, which is often a large share of your audience. Numbers also vary a little between runs.
What is a good speed score?
Google treats 90 out of 100 and above as good, and 50 to 89 as needing work. In detail: main content within 2.5 seconds, a response to taps under 200 ms, and layout shift under 0.1.
How do I make my site faster?
Most slowness comes from heavy images, scripts the page doesn't need, fonts and files that load before the content, and distant hosting. The test shows which apply to your site, and if you'd like us to fix them we'll send a plan at a fixed price.
Does speed affect how I show up on Google?
Yes. Google uses the mobile page experience among its ranking signals, and a visitor who leaves quickly never gets in touch anyway. Speed alone won't put you first, but slowness pulls you down.
